It was more just a writing flaw. I've played the game, and was totally confused in parts of episode 3. I kept thinking I'd missed a bunch of major storylines. They had this new group. Lynskey's character kept going on about Henry.
I thought for sure I'd missed something. I really hate it when serialized shows introduce characters like this. Talking about things they've done that haven't actually been shown in the show yet. Henry is a bigger deal now, but I was confused for most of that episode and spent most of it worrying that I'd missed something very major, instead of paying attention to the episode itself.
