Most of the guys who end up in Europe put those numbers up in their mid 20’s. The guys recently 21 or under who put up those type of totals include:
John Peturka - on a 35 point pace in his rookie year in the NHL at the age of 21.
Jonathan Berggren - on a 44 point pace as a 22 year old rookie in the NHL
Jack Quinn - on a 41 point pace as a 21 year old rookie in the NHL
Matias Macelli - on a 60 point pace as a 22 year old rookie in the NHL.
There are busts like Tyler Benson, but for the most part if you put those type of numbers up at the AHL level you end up being productive at the NHL level. The guys who end up in Europe are the guys who are in their mid 20’s.
