I saw the original portrait during my travels through Scotland. It's in Castle Dunvegan on the northern part of the Isle of Skye. It's so odd to me that this portrait of Dr. Samuel Johnson, out in what is virtually the middle of nowhere became a meme. I snapped a photo when I first saw it, but this guy did a better job of showing it in context.
