Calgary was supposed to be in the McDavid mix in 2015 that is more like Seattle this year. My point of the post which is possibly being missed is that Calgary overachieved last year because everything went right for them (the same point that was made about Seattle). More than half the team had career years and literally no one of significance missed any time with injuries.

True, but now you're moving the goalposts.
I agree that everything went right, and them winning the division was a surprise. But they were favorites to make the playoffs, and that was not a surprise at all.
