If you took the time to actually read my post, I said that it was a "pretty evenly played game," which is NOT the same thing as dead-even. Most of the time, there is a better team performance in every NHL game—even those that are very, very close. This was a game that the Flames were in from wire to wire: they played well enough to win, and did not get badly outplayed. It was "pretty even," which is not perfectly even (duh), but is also not a one-sided domination.
Of course, this is how nuance works. If you are interested in carrying on meaningful conversations with other human beings it would be useful for you to learn how to grasp it.
