In her circumstance Disney+ was not required so they cut it. In no way did she say that Canadians should be doing the same. This is only how social media is framing it for people to try and use it as ammunition.
This is a far cry from saying the way to deal with high gas prices is to buy an electric car, or if heating bills are too high you should put on a sweater.

It was still a pretty dumb thing to talk about. Obviously when people are having trouble making ends meet, they have to cut things in other areas. Only a really privileged person would have to mention it as if it was a new thing that people just thought of. Most people have been doing this at various stages their whole lives.
