So what? He hasn't had a sniff at an NHL job for all those years. Most former NHL executives get some kind of job in somebody's organization after being fired the first time. Not Button. The actions he performed all those years ago were all the actions we will ever have to assess his abilities by. The entire league has found him wanting and moved on.

I'm just saying that he has shown very poor skill at putting a roster together, and when I consider him as an analyst, I discount his opinions on the subject accordingly.
