No option of that happening once the Flames elected arbitration. He'll have a contract on August 13th at the latest now.
Unless you mean have him sit with a contract and healthy, but not sure how that results in a potential lost of earnings and seems like the worst case unless you're really afraid of seeing Tkachuk play without Gaudreau.
