That job you described? I'd never do that in a million years, I cant even imagine what kind of compensation would get me to do that.
But some people love it. They get other perks sometimes, love to travel, like those layovers, etc.
I have several clients who are Flight Attendants and each and every one of them would tell you that they do it because they really enjoy it and they like the perks.

100%. Same with the nurses i know. But, the pandemic culled the herd there. Many flight attendants I know through my life have second jobs, and almost all of them are just happily continuing with those careers now. Dreams die. These industries are fueled on dreams.
