Tapia and Zimmer aren't being used properly. They should be a threat to run every time they're on base. For example, last night when Zimmer came on to pinch run, he should be off right away. There's no way he should be the lead out on a force play leaving the slower runner (Kirk) on first. They need to run, if not to steal bases, to move the defense around.

Also the problem with pinch running for Moreno is that now you can't pinch run for Kirk. Why pinch run Zimmer for Moreno if he's not going to steal? Moreno can do that (not steal). You might also need Moreno's bat in extra innings.

What I would have done was leave Moreno in and bring Kirk in to pinch hit. If Kirk gets on, he's the go ahead run, pinch run Zimmer for Kirk. If Kirk doesn't get on you have the choice to bring in Zimmer as a defensive replacement for Moreno or Kirk. Or if Kirk advanced Moreno, you could pinch run Zimmer for Moreno at 2nd base with 2 outs, but that's iffy too.
