It is not that different from what Landeskog, Stamkos, Tavares etc did. It is a risk but once you get this close to free agency then it is hard to not take a peak. While the legal tampering went away there is still plenty of tampering that occurs. That guy on Twitter announced Blake Coleman was coming here before the free agent window opened so talks were taking place prior.
The Ducks strike me as a team that could come out of nowhere. I still think New Jersey poses the biggest risk.
