At some point it starts to make less sense to argue he should be fired for past mistakes (e.g. Bad UFA signings such as Neal/Brouwer, bad trades such as Hamonic, inability to chagne the team mid-season, bad coaching hires).
What kind of GM is he NOW and going forward.

As someone who has been critical of Brad the last couple of seasons, I agree with this. He came in as a rookie GM and made major mistakes in key areas, he literally learned on the job.
It would really suck to have him show signs of being a top 10 GM, while making mistakes with our team, then kick him out, only to have him learn from all that and become a top 5-10 GM with someone else.
If he's the best guy for the job now than he's the best guy for the job. A bad hamonic trade or UFA signings from years past shouldn't carry the same weight as what he's done lately.
