Someone on CBC they were interviewing described it accurately by calling COVID-19 mandates a Trojan Horse to pursue a general far-right agenda. Sounds pretty accurate.
As much as I don't blame Trudeau for using the Emergencies Act, it also totally played into their plans. I'm not saying it was the wrong decision given other options, but it is going to do some damage as well. As a side not, I was pretty much done with Trudeau before this whole thing started, but now I actually have some sympathy for him because of this. This issue is going to escalate the polarization big time.
