One of my employees works in Winnipeg and he said that Schiefele is a shell of his former self this season and taking heat from the fans (edit: I see that is the headline of the article you linked). I am not sure if it stems from his suspension in the playoffs last year or what but I wonder out loud if he and Monahan could be part of a change of scenery type deal with the Flames kicking in futures.
Probably a huge stretch but if the Jets continue to fall out of it I see a few players on their roster I would welcome here. Lowry, and Copp or someone like Schiefele. I assume Dubois, and Connor would be their untouchable veterans who they are building around along with Perfetti
