I see no reason for Columbus to make that trade.
Laine is a bad target for the Flames. $7.5M QO required to keep him for one more year and he could walk to UFA. He has not been worth his extension and the Flames either rent him or hope he bounces back while losing one or more of their better players in Gaudreau and Tkachuk.
