I use a negative review as an absolute last resort when I feel I have been unreasonably treated, which resulted in a financial loss, after trying all other avenues.
I’ve done it twice before, simply to gain leverage after them refusing to hold up their end of the bargain, and once resolved - I remove the review.
The method has worked in both cases, and believe the ability to have access to the review system protected me as a customer from being taken advantage of by poor service. In both cases, it was the best way to escalate to the owner - whom
Was spun a different, inaccurate story from his worker covering their own ass - and immediately worked to understand both sides and resolve to the contractual terms.
I don’t use the review system for petty stuff like day to day poor service from front line workers , as I think that could happen anywhere and doesn’t affect my perception of the company.
I do think in this case of this thread, after reading all of the reviews, it seems very consistent negative feedback on upper mgmt that is taking advantage of people. I think This is how I would use the review system, and if they refuse to hold up to contractual terms, then they deserve the bad reviews and should be shamed for it to protect other customers.
