Venables would work. He’s been at OU previously and has been part of a team that has won two titles. And he’d likely up OU’s defense to boot.
If you wanted someone who is currently a head coach, then I don’t think that there are any real options.

Venables would be my choice as a fan. But Mark Stoops at Kentucky is another possibility. He's familiar with OU and also the SEC.
