Come on. I think you know the intent behind the Bible Belt statement. Absolutely nothing like rust belt in this context. And this region isn’t even considered part of the “bible belt” region, which speaks very much to the flawed assumptions behind the comment.

And suggesting that this kind of behavior is commonplace in the South? Please let’s do better than start googling other examples to try to prove some point.

As for whether rural Penn is more red than rural Texas, IDK about that. Also irrelevant. No idea why people need to bring religion and politics into this.
