Hamonic trade was crippling as it has in my opinion taken him out of a lot of these deals he couldn’t close (Stone, Dubois, Eichel). We lost out on 3 assets for a garbage player.
For the last 3 years he makes all his moves via free agency. Luckily the last 2 years it looks like he did alright with Markstrom, Tanev and Coleman.
But after 3 straight disappointing finishes to the season he hasn’t been able to make the sizable shift of the core.
We are now dealing with Johnny in a walk year, Chucky able to get there in a year. Just a really bad job over the past few years
