not immediately assuming the least charitable interpretation of what the other person is saying. We're both reading the same article here.
"Don't tell other employees why X got fired" is very different from "don't go to the police". If Guerin meant the latter, then you bet your ass that's a problem. But typically, employers vet whatever communications need to happen about such events through their HR and legal teams prior to releasing them.
