The big no to me is TWO unprotected first round picks. Imagine being a lottery team for the next two years and gifting the Sabres Wright and Bedard? Or even giving them two top 5 picks would be bad enough.
The TWO unprotected first round picks are where I dry the line. Maybe you can give up one unprotected first round pick, but two, no way. The players and prospects are all meh.

I agree, the worst part of the trade is actually the 2023 pick (because we could very well be without Gaudreau that season...)
But, on the other hand, If you're going all in for Eichel you have to have confidence enough in the team that the pick should be 20+ both years. If you dont have enough confidence in the team, why are we even doing this? We should trade our core players nearing deadlines for futures.
But we all know that the flames dont see it that way and want to compete. SO DO IT
