Right or wrong its helping add fuel to their fire, and it is clear even 90%+ vaccination isn't going to stop variant breakthroughs. But luckily, unvaxxed are the ones taking the risk, if you're vaccinated the 'real' risk is gone (death/serious complications). Sure you can contract it but the breakthrough death rates are laughably lower compared to many other common diseases we do not take this approach on.

Yes, minor breakthroughs may still happen, but won’t be able to be widespread, and won’t cause ICU collapse.
Plus, we can tweak the vaccines to a new strain (mRNA should be super easy), and get boosters when needed. If 95% of the population does this, getting COVID to something like where Measles is right now shouldn’t be unreasonable.
