Poirier was a complete stud of a prospect. I won't repeat what was already mentioned, but I would like to add that he was physical, that he played on an edge, and that he was really fast. He was also very good defensively, and had more goals on the fricken PK than on the PP. I wasn't too high on Klimchuk personally (or Gillies at all), but Poirier was a brilliant pick at the time, and if not for his personal demons, would probably have become a valuable piece on the Flames right now.
