To me it seems like they’ve botched the engagement on this by dropping images that leave more questions than answers about how this is the centerpiece of an entertainment district.
With the removal of CMLC, it's hard to see improvement with these concerns

By my count, the lower bowl of the new arena will be about 28 rows and the upper bowl will be about 14 rows.

The only significant difference between the original Saddledome seating layout and the new arena's layout is that the Saddledome's suite level was/is at the very top of the upper bowl. In the new arena, the suite level will be between the two main seating bowls.
There are a few 'super suites' in Dome's the upper area, but the typical suites are all between the two bowls...

Having looked at the RDMP, and trusting CMLC with the vision for the area, I don’t see a problem, nor do I see how they’ve neglected 75% of the exterior space. Did you even look at the renders? Because I would look again. There is maybe one corner that I’d consider a bit of a waste, but we’ll see what happens.

Again, that’s why some opinions mean the same as any others regardless of their profession. Objective issues? Yeah, that’s not what we’re talking about here, but “professionals” who designed a strip mall once would have you believe otherwise.
But their influence is significantly reduced now.
