You want to award $5 million to a guy who can't push play or score in any meaningful way?
I think at that deal I'd rather take the arb award and let him go in FA.
The Flames simply cannot pay a defense only type that kind of money. Especially since he isn't an elite shutdown guy either.
If he signs long term I'd hope he goes for under 3.5m AAV.
