If Gio was on another team would you want the Flames to take him for a year a 6.75 M ?
You would be wanting that team to retain some salary.
At least Gio's contract makes sense a couple of million too much

How does Shea Weber's contract end?
He has a year of 6 M, a year of 3 M and 3 years of 1M. with a 5 yr cap hit of 7,857,143
In 2 years his buyout cap hit is 7,190,476 for 3 years.
Do they get to say he is injured? Can he retire like Byfuglien? At least there was a clear indication of injury that Byfuglien didn't handle well to his own detriment.
Is there a gentleman's agreement that Weber would retire at 38 ?
Would Montreal lose their 1st pick should he retire? ( arizona style?)
