The reality is you don't want anyone who was on either end of the spectrum adjudicating these affairs. No goons and no injury prone guys. What you want is a halfway intelligent guy who was relatively durable and tough to play against, but not dirty in any way.
My vote goes for the recently retired Justin Williams.
