The Devils are in no better shape.
Yay for them for their high draft picks, nothing has come of it.
The majority of people on this board can't handle a single rough season like this one without some major freaking out, could you imagine if we were having seasons like the Devils or Buffalo has had for the last decade or so?

The reason why so many on this board freaked out was because the expectations for the team were so high. They were expected to compete for the division title since they had key additions in Tanev and Markstrom. That has clearly not worked out and the previous data of the teams mediocrity is further being cemented.
If the fan base knew that the Flames were going for a tear down rebuild, I expect the tone around here would drastically change and it would be a different type of conversation. Don't mistake the outrage around here with individuals being unable to handle a rebuild. I expect that the average poster here has an above average understanding of the game and understands what a rebuild entails. As long as the team on the ice is working hard, who cares if you're losing? What I can't stand is watching 27-28 year olds cashing in paycheques and the team going nowhere. There are too many times this season when the team just simply doesn't work hard enough or seem to care enough.
