I think the team needs better centers, and I'll even put Lindholm in the discussion too as he's taken a step back under Daryl Sutter. But I think stock piling other picks and using your own to get that center in the draft is the only way a small market Canadian based team can make it work.

Jokinen was 30 when the Flames acquired him. Eichel is 24. It's not about him being the missing piece, it's about him being the foundation of the team for the next 9-10 years.
