He is good at it, for a goalie. BUT it doesn’t help his team much. He doesn’t have anywhere near the ability to move it to a skating forward that a defenceman does, nor doe he have the option of skating it himself. So he ends up firing a long pass to a stationary teammate and he gets checked easily.
One in a blue moon he will connect for an assist. I suspect those instances are way more rare than his screwups leading to a goal against.
