But since you asked, teams rebuild when they are saddled with an aging core that is playing meaningless games in the second-half of the season. You're contradicting yourself in multiple ways. You said time, then you said age, then you said if they remain fairly competitive they'll stay together. Ultimately what it comes down to is what each franchise gauges as "good enough". This franchise has proven they're content with just making playoffs. Or "competitive enough" like you said. I guess you're OK with that, but I'm not.
