I'm not a fan of trading assets in the expansion draft, but the one thing that could make sense is to trade Bennett to SEA on the condition that they don't select Gio/Tanev (ie. they do take Kylington or Ryan). Bennett would be a near zero value asset at that point, but he would make a lot of sense for SEA (negotiating a deal lower than his QO).

I’d happily expose Backlund in the hopes of getting rid of a $5.35M 3rd line centre on what may be a steep decline. Backs has shown he is not the same player he was in the 18/19 regular season. He had a hot streak 19/20, but followed it up by having another crappy playoff series against Dallas.
No trades with Seattle to protect this player or that player. This team doesn’t have to do it.
