Further to Leivo, he is also 6'2", and a right hand shot. As mentioned, he has a good shot. He is also a solid two-way player, and isn't afraid of physical play.
The other thing is that I think sometimes fans get too hung up on line numberings, and the idea that your best players should be on the top line, and etc. on down the lineup.
IMO, it is better to construct lines that work well together. Leivo brings things that Gaudreau ad Monahan need. And the added benefit is that it frees up Lindholm to play with Tkachuk, which creates two top 2 lines.
It isn't about 'is Leivo a top line player', it is about building the best set of lines possible. And IMO, if Leivo can work on Monahan's line, it sets up the other 3 lines beautifully, and gives the team the most depth throughout the lineup.
