Don’t over pay with draft picks and let them take who they take.
Vegas is living on borrowed time of the stupidly overpayments of the expansion draft and they’re about to take a fall.

Being a fan of Vegas must be absolutely exhilarating They're literally in on every big name that becomes available and seem to operate under the theory of grab who you can and figure out everything else later.
They certainly have a boldness that other franchises seemed to have forgotten or just don't care to have. I think a lot of teams could take a lesson from them, in that most GMs are far too timid and think actually doing their job is too difficult.
But I also think Vegas has gone too far in the other direction, and don't really have much of a plan other than "hey, let's get this guy who's available because he's really good!"
Their prospect pool is poor, especially depth-wise, not only because they're a recent team, but because they trade picks willingly. I mean, pretty much everyone knew giving what they did for Tatar was bad Then they turn Tatar into Pacioretty, but have to give up another really good prospect to do so.
I mean, you can't really argue with putting in Brannstrom to get Stone, or Suzuki to get Pacioretty, or that Pietrangelo is probably better than Stastny and Schmidt in a vaccuum, but there almost seems to be a bit of "drunken spending spree with them."
Exciting if you follow the team, but the hangover might be deadly.
