To stop the sniping, I think you could do a lottery system, but that has pitfalls as well if the scalpers just overwhelm the lottery system to give them the highest odds by sheer numbers. . |
Why should retailers care though? They get paid the same either way. The onus needs to fall on the impatient #######s who pay scalped prices for consoles. It's not like a concert which is a one time deal, in a few months you'll be able to buy a PS5 without issue once the supply chain issues settle down. There is zero reason to buy a console above retail price unless you're just that entitled that you need to have it NOW
