It's going to create a civil war in the Republican party the more that these idiots follow Trump down the rabbit hole of citing election fraud that isn't there. It hurts their chances of ever forming a government in the future, so yeah, The Lincoln Project is anti-Trump even when it comes to his acolytes.
It will be a tough battle to win. GOP leaders only have so much influence over primaries. It seems in primaries, the racist, BS spouting populist guy will usually win even if he doesn't have a shot at the general.

I saw this play out in Virginia. When I moved here around 2002, it was a fairly reliably red state. It shifted to light blue for Obama, but the state was pretty purple. Then the Tea Party started gaining influence and their guy would win nearly every state-wide primary, and every time the Tea Party guy had no chance of winning the general election, whereas a moderate might have. They got a bunch of their guys in deep red local districts, and then started ramming them in the moderate districts and started losing all those districts as well.

Now Virginia is a strong blue state.

I don't know how you stop your Republican voters from nominating deplorable candidates with little chance of winning elections.
