There are teams in the playoffs today who don't have an expensive D-corps but are still playing hockey. Plus, the goalies will look like all-stars.

If they can bring an experienced and proven coach in, bring in Hall, and somehow balance this roster, I will be all in. Hopefully that includes Brodie in a way - I think he is the best transition defencemen on the team with his passing/ability to skate with the puck. That's a big ask, however, to include him and Hall.
A good example would be Vegas, arguably one of the favorites to go all the way this year. Their D roster consists of Schmidt, Theodore, Martinez, McNabb, Holden, Merrill and Engelland.
Schmidt and Theodore are excellent players, but other that that, pretty average looking. This past year, on paper at least, our D roster of Gio, Brodie, Hamonic, Hanifin, Andersson and Stone should have blown theirs outta the water.

Where they make up the difference is in everyone stepping up and being coached exceptionally well.
