If they do partial completion of the season (their second option) one would think a modified tournament format to get al the teams to "X" number of games would happen followed by a complete playoff hosted by the 4 cities. Option 3 of just a playoff which is likely the most realistic expectation would have just 4 teams in each of the cities for two rounds. Sure you could put an asterisk beside the champion but who cares? '92, '95, '13 were all much short Er seasons and no one questioned those playoffs.

Yeah, I really don't understand the asterisk people. If they play the full season, not having fans at the games doesn't change anything. Having a break in the season shouldn't either. When the NHL has gone to the Olympics there are no asterisks. When we had a lock-out shortened season there is no asterisk. When Carolina and Edmonton apparently played in the Stanley Cup finals there isn't an asterisk (though, really there should be).
