I know he's supposed to be promising, but his stats look shockingly pedestrian.
25 years old, in 37 AHL games this year he has a 3.43 GAA and a 0.906 SV%.
The other #1 goalies (or 1A/1B for Stockton) for the team's in Ontario's division:
Ivan Prosvetov (5 years younger): 19 games. 2.40 GAA, 0.928 SV%
Artem Zagidulin (1 year younger): 23 games. 3.00 GAA, 0.900 SV%
Jon Gillies (1 year older): 21 games. 2.42 GAA, 0.913 SV%
Adam Werner (4 years younger): 26 games. 2.86 GAA, 0.911 SV%
Anthony Stolarz (1 year older): 29 games. 2.79 GAA, 0.919 SV%
Stuart Skinner (4 years younger): 31 games. 3.20 GAA, 0.896 SV%
Josef Korenar (4 years younger): 24 games. 3.13 GAA, 0.887 SV%
I guess I'm just surprised because Jack Campbell has looked good to great in the NHL. Last year on an awful Kings team, he put up a 2.30 GAA and 0.928 SV% in 31 games.
Obviously they're stuck with Quick and if the plan is for Petersen then Campbell has to go.
