I disagree that he leads with his knee, no player wants their primary point of contact to be their knee, because that play is dangerous for both players.
All the same, your point is well taken. Gio has a proven track record with that type of play, whether his intent is there or not. No denying that.
Bringing conversation back to last nights example, I think that it pales in comparison to any of the four examples we talked about. 1) no one was hurt 2) it was an entirely different point of contact on both players. If it were between any two other players, no one would be talking about it. But because of the narrative surrounding it, it has legs.
