It's been speculated that Hall won't sign an extension and will wait to test free agency based on the past history of his agent who believes this is the best approach.
If that is true, one would have to think that any deal for Hall might be underwhelming but include conditions that would significantly improve the return should Hall end up signing with the team that trades for him.
