They're even more productive on their natural wing, so why move them? Accommodate a lesser player? That makes sense.

They are also not trading Gaudreau.

Watch them. I suspect they know if Gaudreau wants to be here long term, which I suspect he does not. They will recognize this and want to maximize the return they can get on him, which means trading him this summer at the latest. I fully expect another Treliving draft day surprise and Gaudreau being front and center to that deal. I'll be shocked if Johnny Hockey is not playing someplace on the east coast (Flyers, Devils, Rangers, Islanders, or Capitals) by the start of the 2020-2021 season.

I didn't say trade Gaudreau for Hall. I said have a secondary trade ready to move Gaudreau.

Given what has been rumored, I would be fine doing a package around frolik (cap), kylington (high potential young d), parsons (high potential g) and a pick for hall. Then see if mangi or Bennett could go 1-1 or with a small add for a top 4 rhd

If you could get Hall for that, it would already be done. Kylington is the player of consequence in that proposal, so I don't see that as being enough. The Flames actually need Kylington based on the contract status of their blueline. They trade him before having a suitable replacement for Brodie and Hamonic, and they are in serious trouble. Too many question marks on the backend right now, so a trade of a blueliner is going to be tough. Parsons is also not a centerpiece to any deal. He's a very long shot, and the only thing he's proven so far is he's injury prone. He's a throw in at this point and not going to get another team all twisted up to make a deal. The Flames will have to move a piece they will find painful. I suspect that will mean Valimaki or their 1st rounder this draft. Not sure if I'd be willing to make that deal for Taylor Hall.
