He should have apologized to the player, this would indicate a sincere apology to the person that he hurt. Because he makes no mention of the player, the letter itself does not come across as him being sincere for his actions. Personally I think it was a poorly crafted letter. One of the main points from Aliu is that Peters refused apologize so what is the point of the letter to Treliving? We wouldn't be where we are today if Peters had apologized to Aliu 10 years go. So why no apology now? I do not believe Flames will accept this is a sincere apology because it does not resolve the initial concerns and problem.
