Yeah I do get it. It should be based on population, but it's not properly based on population and as such we should have had a Triple E senate to help protect smaller provinces and prevent the two bigger provinces (Ontario and Quebec) from controlling everything. Instead we get nights like tonight where you have a section of Canada (the prairies) that will get next to no say over the next election term because the liberals will be pandering to Quebec and Ontario. The difference is the senate in the US is equal and elected and effective. Ours is a joke that is unelected and rubber stamps most everything.
