Lots of people in that discussion thread were insistent that Tkachuk gave as little crap about his line mate for 3 years, Frolik, as they did. That Tkachuk would pursue top dollar, and tough crap to Treliving for ‘mismanaging the cap’. Some very wrong opinions in there, for sure.
He wants to win with this team, sees unfinished business, and is a good team guy. Glad to see him back

Oh, I totally agree. I view the comments about ensuring that Tkachuk was signed without sacrificing a teammate as limited to necessity: neither party wanted to see a player move as a result of this contract. But I am certain that Treliving is as determined as ever to improve the roster, and Tkachuk will be happy to see the team improve.
