Maybe it’s my perception only, but it seems like there are fewer meaningful trades during the regular season, with the exception of the trade deadline.
Most trades happen in the off season, which makes sense as there usually is a lot more optionality
I would be surprised at any major changes
Also, I will remark that I was glad to hear Tkachuk confirm what a few of us were thinking. They arrived at the idea that it was going to be a shorter term to work within the Flames current cap constraints.
Lots of people in that discussion thread were insistent that Tkachuk gave as little crap about his line mate for 3 years, Frolik, as they did. That Tkachuk would pursue top dollar, and tough crap to Treliving for ‘mismanaging the cap’. Some very wrong opinions in there, for sure.
He wants to win with this team, sees unfinished business, and is a good team guy. Glad to see him back
