Exactly this.
Just be yourself, but if you want to dress better, you can start with being mindful of what you wear. Biggest things in my mind is nailing colours, textures and fit. By that I mean, wear whatever makes you comfortable. Make sure the colours you have on work well together and make sure everything fits right. Try to stick to natural fabrics as much as possible (pure wool, cotton, linen, leather, etc.). Stay away from synthetic fabrics (polyester, nylon, anything with a "TM" in the name). You might find the most incredible lime green shirt on sale that is a perfect fit, but if you don't have pants and shoes that go well with it, it's best to put it back and pick up the white or grey shirt at regular price.
