Hard to explain. It is different from hockey leagues
For example if cavalry were in the MLS they would finish last and struggle to pick up points. But in a one off game anything can happen. If cavalry played an MLS team they would sit back and soak up pressure and hope to sneak a goal at a set piece or on a break
It would be more comparable to a world hockey championships game when you see the host nation playing out of their skin due to adrenalin and home advantage
