The way the refs were calling the series benefited the Avs. They were mauling and sitting on our soft players (after falling on them "accidentally on purpose") and the Flames couldn't respond to or take advantage of that by doing the same thing to them. Instead, they took easy to call penalties that the refs couldn't turn a blind eye too.
