He was a condemed man anyway, but the way in which the proceedings went and the way in which it was carried out stops at nothing short of sending a firm message of who is in control and who is going to stay in control.

I laughed out loud when i read about this before the war began.

I definitely would have payed to see Saddam and whoever it was go at it in a "duel" vs Bush and cheney, that would have been gold...after all, Cheney is far from a sharp-shooter. Haha.
